Cheer/Tumbling classes are designed to teach entry level cheer skills; including beginning tumbling, cheers, chants, dances and jumps. Emphasis is placed on correct technique and form; and building the proper foundation for safety and advancement. Additional emphasis is directed toward developing the necessary strength and flexibility to enable the student to master the skills and to provide the physical basis needed for more advanced skills. Students will work on progressive skills including forward and backward rolls and their variation, headstands, handstands, cartwheels, one arm cartwheels and round-offs.. No previous skills are required. Students will progress to Intermediate/Advanced Cheer- Tumbling when they can consistently perform their forward and backward rolls, handstand, cartwheel, and round-off.
